Bosch oxygen sensor (heated switching sensor) for the Mercedes C-Class W202 with four-cylinder gasoline engine M111, Bosch number 0 258 003 324.
NOS – unused genuine Bosch new part · Ready to install: thread, cable and connector undamaged · Heated – ready to regulate shortly after cold start
Condition of this part
NOS/OVP – unused genuine Bosch new part (Made in Germany) in the original Bosch box. The box shows clear storage marks: knocked corners, a taped-shut lid, tape, and a handwritten part number in felt-tip pen. The sensor itself is ready to install: thread and sealing cone clean, protective tube bright, cable supple, connector with bright contacts. Due to storage, the sensor body shows a golden-brown tarnish patina. The sensor is sold untested.
Function and location
The oxygen sensor measures the residual oxygen in the exhaust gas and signals the engine control unit via a voltage step whether the mixture is rich or lean. The control unit then continuously adjusts the injection quantity to lambda = 1, so the catalytic converter operates in its optimal window. This is a heated zirconium dioxide switching sensor (12 V heater, type formula LSH 6), which makes it ready to regulate shortly after cold start.
It is installed upstream of the catalytic converter, screwed into the manifold or the front exhaust pipe; the roughly 900 mm long cable leads to the round connector on the bracket in the engine bay.
How can you tell if the oxygen sensor is defective?
- Increased fuel consumption
- Rough, uneven engine running
- Failing the emissions test

The Bosch number of this oxygen sensor is 0 258 003 324 (0258003324), listed under the short designation LS3324 with the type formula LSH 6. The Mercedes cross-reference number given is A 000 540 40 17 (A0005404017).
⚠ Important: compare the part number before buying
The exact Bosch number is decisive: several similar oxygen sensors exist with different cable lengths and connector types. Our sensor carries the number 0 258 003 324. Numbers 0 258 003 320 (for the W124, cable length 800 mm) and 0 258 003 322 (cable length 590 mm) are different versions and not directly interchangeable. Please compare the number of your old sensor 1:1.
Does not fit:
- C 280 / C 36 AMG (six-cylinder M104)
- Diesel models
- Kompressor models

FAQ
Is the sensor new or used?
This is an unused genuine Bosch new part (NOS/OVP) in the original box. The box shows storage marks; the sensor itself is ready to install and is sold untested.
Does the sensor also fit the C 280 or diesel models?
No, this version fits exclusively the four-cylinder gasoline engines M111.911, M111.921 and M111.942 of the W202 series. C 280, C 36 AMG, diesel and Kompressor models need a different oxygen sensor.
How can I tell if this is the correct sensor for my vehicle?
Before purchasing, compare the Bosch number of your old sensor 1:1 with 0 258 003 324 – there are similar sensors with different cable lengths and connector types that are not interchangeable.
