Used part, complete. The housing is more heavily patinated or soiled, the rubber boot has aged. The switch mechanism works perfectly.
Function and location
The original rotary switch handles the light control: turning it switches on the parking lights and low beam, pulling the knob additionally activates the fog lights – indicated by the corresponding symbol on the knob. The switch also supplies the dimming of the instrument lighting.
The switch is installed in the dashboard to the left of the instrument cluster. It is screwed in from behind and connected to the vehicle's electrical system via the existing connector.
How can you tell a light switch is defective?
- Parking lights or low beam no longer switch on reliably when turning the switch
- Fog lights can no longer be activated by pulling the knob
- The dimming of the instrument lighting no longer works
- Switch is stiff, no longer engages cleanly, or shows a loose contact
