This fuel system pressure regulator is part of the Bosch KE-Jetronic injection system. It keeps the system pressure constant and provides sufficient residual holding pressure after the engine is switched off – this prevents hot-start problems and vapor lock in the fuel system. This is a special version exclusively for the 16-valve four-cylinder engines (engine M102 with Cosworth cylinder head) of the 190 E 16V.
The pressure regulator is installed in the engine bay on the fuel distributor or in the KE-Jetronic return line, where it sits bolted in.
