The breaker contact set sits in classic ignition distributors with contact-controlled ignition: the cam on the distributor shaft opens and closes the contacts, generating the ignition pulse at the ignition coil. It is a wear part that is replaced regularly on classic vehicles.
Installation location: in the ignition distributor, on the base plate, under the distributor cap and rotor.

- In an advanced stage, the ignition spark stops altogether
