Vehicle system and function
The electrically controlled rotary slide routes air around the closed throttle valve. The engine control unit uses it to regulate the idle speed – also on a cold start and when loads such as air conditioning or automatic transmission are switched on.
Installation location: In the air bypass hose between the intake air duct and the intake manifold, usually secured in a rubber bracket on the intake manifold.
Condition: Used genuine part. The housing was repainted silver, the type label is no longer present; the number 0 280 140 509 was on the original label.
How to recognize a defective part
