Tested and fully functional. This is a used part with age-appropriate signs of use; the rubber mounts are undamaged, the output shaft and splines are complete.
Function and location
The rear wiper motor drives the wiper arm on the rear window. A permanent-magnet DC motor acts via a worm gear on the splined output shaft, which directly carries the wiper arm. The end-stop and park-position switching runs via the three-pin plug connector.
The motor is installed on the inside of the tailgate above the rear window and secured with three screws via the three-armed mount. Rubber-metal bushings decouple structure-borne noise and vibration.
How can you tell a defective rear wiper motor?
- The rear wiper no longer moves at all
- The wiper arm does not stay in the park position (end-stop switching defective)
- The wiper runs jerkily or with unusual noises (gear or bearing damage)
- The wiper arm has noticeable play on the output shaft (splines worn)

This is the rear wiper motor, not a front motor: the front wiper drive is a motor-linkage unit with its own part number and does not fit here. Fits hatchback versions with a factory rear wiper only. Please compare the number on the old motor (Valeo 53025712, Fiat 51757867 or Valeo service 582617).
