The Mercedes factory radio Audio 10 CD is a 1-DIN unit with a CD slot drive, FM, MW, LW and SW tuner, RDS with PTY programme-type search, ten station presets and an amplifier with 4×25 W. The CDC button can be used to control an external CD changer; multifunction steering wheel, instrument cluster display and automatic antenna are supported.
It is installed in the 1-DIN radio slot of the center console.

After power disconnection, the unit asks for a radio code that is not included in the scope of delivery. It is an Alpine-made unit – the code can be determined via the serial number printed on the type plate (AL2910…) from the manufacturer or via a Mercedes partner, and commercial code services also exist; we cannot guarantee successful unlocking; the serial number is legible in the product photos. Only fibre-optic changers (D2B) such as the MC3010, MC3110 or MC3111 are supported as CD changers; the MOST changer MC3330 and the analogue Becker changers MC3196 / MC3296 do not fit. In a Mercedes with the original wiring harness, the unit is plug-and-play – for installation in a different make of vehicle, an ISO adapter and, if applicable, an antenna adapter are needed.
Does not fit:
- Vehicles with COMAND or a MOST bus system (W211, W219, W209 with MOST)
- Vehicles with a double-DIN slot
- Audio 10 CD in the Becker version BE6021 – different part number and generation
