How can you tell a duo valve is defective?
One side stops heating, the heating stays permanently hot, or it fails completely – the cases vary and can affect one or both heating circuits. The duo valve is located in the engine bay on the firewall and pulses the coolant flow to both heat exchangers (side-separated temperature control, 3-pin connector, de-energized open = full heating output).

The E-Class convertible (A124) is also covered according to the Mercedes parts catalog (EPC). A climate control system (Tempmatik) is always required – vehicles with manual heating (Bowden cable) do not use this valve.

What warranty is provided?
5-year warranty on this refurbished part. If there is a problem, simply send in the valve – we will repair or replace it, replacement units are in stock. In addition, there is a 60-day return policy and free shipping within Germany.
Does the valve fit my vehicle?
According to the Mercedes parts catalog, the valve is fitted in the 124 (sedan, T-model, coupe, convertible) and 129 (SL) model series with climate control/Tempmatik – no others. The safest way: read the part number off the old valve and compare it 1:1. If in doubt, we'll check it free of charge using your VIN.
How is the valve tested?
After refurbishment, every valve goes through our own, in-house developed test procedure with three stages: leak test, flow test and switching test of both valve circuits. The part only goes on sale once it has passed all three.
Why is there no new part?
Mercedes no longer supplies part number A0008306584, and there is no aftermarket version on the market. That's why we fully refurbish genuine parts – condition "like new", at a price below the former Mercedes list price of 255,53 €.
