Used genuine part, sold untested as no test bench is available. Housing complete and free of cracks, only fine scratches and storage dust. Connector pins clearly oxidised and darkly tarnished; clean before installation. No bent pins, no rust, no breakage.
Function and location
The pulse generator produces the clock pulses for the wiper's intermittent circuit and controls the follow-up wipe after the washer is operated. Via the park-position switching terminals, the wiper motor is switched so that the wipers return to the parked position after each interval cycle. If it fails, the continuous speeds usually keep working, but the intermittent and automatic wash-wipe functions no longer do.
The relay is installed as an 8-pin plug-in relay on the relay carrier in the fuse and relay box; on the W123, W116, and R107, in the engine bay on the bulkhead.

Is the relay function-tested?
No, as no test bench is available, the relay is sold untested. Housing and connector pins are visually fine: no breakage, no rust, no bent pins.
Why are the connector pins oxidised?
This is age-related and normal for a used genuine part. The pins should be cleaned before installation.
How does this relay differ from IGE 601.342?
IGE 601.342 (Mercedes number 000 821 08 63) and IGE 601.174 are different variants from the IGE 601.167 offered here. Please compare the type designation and number of your old relay 1:1 before buying.
