New old stock (NOS): the original Mercedes bag with factory label is present, the packaging is age-yellowed. The bearing itself is unused and was not installed.
Function and location
The deep groove ball bearing, greased for life and sealed on both sides, is a Mercedes special version manufactured by NTN in Japan. With a 30 mm shaft seat, 68 mm housing seat and 22,6 mm width, it is unusually wide for its diameter and is thus designed for high radial load plus additional axial load in a compact installation space. The NTN designation LLU stands for the rubber contact seal on both sides, which keeps the factory grease in the bearing and dirt out – the bearing therefore runs maintenance-free and cannot be re-greased.
It sits in the Mercedes manual transmission of the 717.4 model series, in the subgroup transmission shafts and gears. On the outer ring it carries the marking SX06B68LLUA-N-PX2V1.
