Mercedes crankshaft bearing (main bearing shells) Glyco 72-2753, undersize 0.50 mm, for inline six-cylinder engines.
NOS – unused · Original packaging in Glyco wrapping paper · Second repair stage, undersize 0.50 mm
Condition of this part
NOS (New Old Stock) – uninstalled bearing shells in the original Glyco wrapping paper. The paper is yellowed and partly stained, with a residue of tape on one roll. The running surfaces and backs of the shells are unused, without scratches and without corrosion.
Function and location
The plain-bearing half shells guide the crankshaft main bearing journal in the crankcase and carry the oil film on which the shaft runs. The shell with the central oil hole sits at the top of the block and handles the oil supply from the main oil gallery; the shell without a hole sits at the bottom in the bearing cap. A locating tab prevents it from rotating.
They are installed in the main bearing saddles of the inline six-cylinder engine – within the H859/7 set, this number covers bearing positions 1, 2, 5, 6 and 7.
Compatible vehicles
Designed for inline six-cylinder engines at main bearing positions 1, 2, 5, 6 and 7 of the Glyco H859/7 set, for a crankshaft ground to 59.50 mm (second repair stage, undersize 0.50 mm).
On the R107 (280 SL / 280 SLC), this number applies only to model years up to 12/1976; from 1/1977 the H956/7 set with different numbers is used.
