Function and location
The lamp carrier is the carrier plate of the tail light with the bulb holders. It holds the bulbs for the tail, brake, turn signal and reverse lights and closes off the light unit on the inside.
The part is fitted at the rear right (passenger side), behind the outer lens of the sedan.
How can you tell a lamp carrier is faulty?
- Tail, brake, turn signal or reverse light on the right side fails or flickers
- Bulbs sit loose or no longer hold securely in the holders
- Moisture or fogging in the tail light, because the unit no longer seals cleanly on the inside
- visible cracks or breaks in the plastic carrier
