Vehicle system and function
The idle air control valve sits in the bypass around the closed throttle valve. Depending on the signal from the idle control unit, its rotary slide opens a larger or smaller air cross-section and thus keeps the idle speed constant – even with a cold engine and electrical loads switched on.
Installation location: In the engine bay in the idle air hose between the intake air duct and the intake manifold, connected with a 2-pin connector to the idle control unit.
Condition: Used genuine parts of the older VDO design with clamp ring. The housings were repainted silver, the type labels are no longer present; according to our records A 000 141 14 25. Two in stock, the photos show one of them. Price is per piece.

The idle air control valves for the 380s (13 25) and the US version (12 25) look identical from the outside. Please compare the number on the old valve.

Idle air control valve of the KE-Jetronic V8s from 1985/86 (420, 500, 560) in the newer design without clamp ring.
⚠ Not A 000 141 22 25 (Bosch 0 280 140 510)
Bosch idle air control valve for the KE engines M 102 and M 103.
⚠ Does not fit:
- 420, 500 and 560 SE/SEL/SEC and SL from 1985/86 (use A 000 141 16 25 instead)
- W124 400 E / 500 E and R129 500 SL (use A 000 141 24 25 instead)
- BMW and VW T3 (similar-design VDO valves with different numbers)
