Function and location
The engine damper dampens the longitudinal and pitching movements of the engine on its rubber mounts. It prevents the engine from knocking against the mounts on load changes, on starting and on shutting off.
It is fitted between the engine mount and the front axle carrier, linked to the side of the engine block.
