Vehicle system and function
The bracket supports the engine on the left side via the front rubber engine mount. The engine shock absorber, which dampens the tilting and shaking movements of the diesel, is bolted to the fork arm with two holes.
Installation location: On the left of the engine block (4-hole flange). The threaded hole at the tip takes the engine mount, the fork arm points toward the engine damper.
Condition: Used genuine part, raw to lightly blasted cast aluminum with a blotchy surface. No cracks or breaks, only slight grinding marks. Without engine mount and engine damper.

This is the left engine support bracket. The right bracket without fork arm has the number A 601 223 01 04.
⚠ Does not fit:
- 190 D 2.5 and 190 D 2.5 Turbo (OM602)
- Six-cylinder diesel OM603 – separate engine support brackets
- Later 190 D and W124 diesel with engine support bracket A 601 223 30 04 (right)
