New old stock (NOS). The original Mercedes packaging with factory label is present, but age-yellowed. The bearing itself is unused and was not installed.

Needle bearings with slim cylindrical rollers absorb high radial loads while requiring very little radial installation space – which is why they are used at points in the transmission where there is no room for a ball bearing. According to the factory parts catalog, this bearing belongs to the main group transmission, subgroup transmission housing and cover.
It is installed in the manual transmission of the Mercedes transmission types 711, 716 and 717 – in the transmission housing or the front housing cover.
