Function and location

The coolant pump (water pump) pulley is driven by the crankshaft V-belt, drives the water pump and also carries the fan wheel. It is a two-piece design made of a pressed-steel shell with a single V-belt groove and a deep-drawn hub cap.

It sits on the water pump flange at the front of the engine and is bolted together with the fan wheel.

Compatible vehicles

W123 (M110 / M123):

  • 280, 280 E, 280 CE, 280 TE (M110.923/.924/.984/.987 – up to the respective engine number cutoff, see "not to be confused with" below)
  • 250, 250 T (M123.920/.921)

W126 (M110):

  • 280 S, 280 SE, 280 SEL (1979–1985)

Note on the engine number: for the M110.984, the part number applies per catalog up to engine number 023275 (manual transmission) or 076808 (automatic). Later engines use the version 110 205 07 10 – if in doubt, please provide the engine number and we will check it.

Part number of this pulley: 110 205 09 10 (A1102050910). The different, outwardly similar version 110 205 07 10 (1102050710) belongs to other model series or engines and is not identical (see "not to be confused with" below).
