Function and location
This mechanical scissor jack is used for changing wheels: the threaded spindle spreads the two cast scissor arms apart and lifts the vehicle. The part carries the manufacturer marking FRIES as well as the Mercedes star.
As an onboard tool, the jack is usually stored in the trunk or in the spare wheel well.
⚠ Important: compare head shape and jacking point before buying
The marking on the jack does not allow a clear assignment to a specific Mercedes model series, and the onboard tool equipment changed over the model years. Therefore compare the contact head with the jacking point on your vehicle before buying. The crank handle is not included in the scope of delivery but is needed for operation. Before each use, you should check the spindle, thread and joints and additionally secure the vehicle against sagging.
Does not fit:
- Vehicles with a plug-in/column jack instead of a scissor jack
- Vehicles whose sill jacking point requires a claw instead of a curved contact head
