Vehicle system and function
The angled rubber piece routes the extra idle air from the air duct behind the air flow meter to the electronic idle speed actuator. If the rubber is hard or cracked, the engine draws in false air and the idle becomes unstable.
Installation location: In the engine bay between the intake air duct and the idle speed actuator, installed once per vehicle.
Condition: Used genuine part, without visible cracks.
How to recognize a defective part
