Used black plastic/hard rubber cap, not brittle, with light scratches and signs of use, but complete.
Function and location
The cap sits on top of the front shock absorber and protects the exposed piston rod as well as the upper damper eye from splash water, road salt, dust and stone chips. It prevents premature wear of the damper seal and is part of the original look of the front axle on these classics.
It is fitted to the front axle, pushed onto the top of the strut or shock absorber. Two pieces are required per vehicle – one on the left and one on the right.
