Used: the reflectors show age-related tarnishing and signs of use, the housing is complete. Please refer to the product photos for the lens and turn signal – only the scope of delivery shown there is supplied.
Function and location
This complete right-hand main headlight insert is part of the W116's dual-headlight system. The large asymmetric main reflector produces low and high beam (H4, with a bilux bulb on early vehicles), while the small separate reflector provides the auxiliary high beam (H1). The main reflector also houses the parking light.
The installation location is the front panel, right side (passenger side), between the radiator grille and the fender.
How can you tell a headlight insert is faulty?
- No low beam on the right side of the vehicle
- No or only weak high beam on the right
- Parking light on the right not working
