Function and location
Tachometer with integrated clock for the instrument cluster of the W123 model series. The instrument replaces the simple clock in the right round gauge and displays engine speed up to 7000 rpm, red zone from 6000 rpm. The clock sits as a small dial in the lower part of the scale. Version for four-cylinder petrol engines, marking 230/107/12 and 14000 Imp. on the back.
The installation location is the right round gauge in the instrument cluster behind the steering wheel.

For identification, this instrument carries the marking on the back 230/107/12 as well as the designation 14000 Imp. Please compare this marking with that of your own instrument before buying, especially to distinguish it from versions for other cylinder counts.
⚠ Important: compare the part number before buying
This version is intended for four-cylinder petrol engines – the pulse count depends on the number of cylinders. On a six-cylinder or a diesel engine, the instrument will read incorrectly at all times. Please compare the marking 230/107/12 and 14000 Imp. on the back with that of your old instrument.
Only the tachometer with integrated clock on the mounting plate, including lamp sockets, is supplied. Speedometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, viewing glass and housing cover are not included in the scope of delivery – the two free round cutouts in the plate remain empty. Please look closely at the product photos.

Does the instrument also fit the six-cylinder or diesel?
No. This version is intended for four-cylinder petrol engines; on a six-cylinder or diesel engine the reading would be permanently incorrect.
