Function and location
The instrument cluster shows the speed as well as the total and trip mileage, driven mechanically via the speedometer cable from the transmission output. The same housing also holds the gauge for fuel level, coolant temperature and oil pressure, as well as the analog clock – backlit and adjustable via the instrument dimmer.
Installed in the dashboard directly in front of the driver, inserted into the instrument carrier from the front and connected via the speedometer cable at the transmission output and plug contacts on the back.
