Vehicle system and function
The outside temperature display evaluates the outside temperature sensor behind the front license plate and shows the outside temperature digitally in degrees Celsius with one decimal place. The LC display is backlit, and its brightness follows the dimmer of the instrument lighting.
Installation location: The module sits in the instrument cluster and is secured with two screws; after removing the instrument cluster, it is the first part that can be taken off. The associated temperature sensor is located behind the front license plate.
Condition: Professionally refurbished, tested and fully operational.

⚠ Early version with 10-pin LCD
Front with white light guide, closed connector collar, 10-pin LC display. The vehicle connector is 5-pin with pins in a row.
⚠ 10-pin refers to the display
The 10-pin designation describes the number of contacts on the LC glass, not the vehicle connector.
⚠ Not the version with 4 connector pins in a square
There is another early 10-pin version with a white light guide whose connector has 4 pins in a square. This one does not fit the 5-pin connector.

What does 6-pin or 10-pin mean?
That is the number of contacts of the LC display inside the unit. On the vehicle, both versions have the same 5-pin connector with pins in a row.
Does the display fit a car without an outside temperature display?
Only if an outside temperature sensor and wiring harness are present or are retrofitted. Neither is included in the scope of delivery.
Which number is on my display?
The Mercedes number is stamped into the back of the housing. This display bears A 124 542 00 05.
