Function and location
The instrument cluster shows the speed as well as the total and trip mileage; the speedometer is driven mechanically via the speedometer cable from the transmission output. The same housing also holds the combination gauge for fuel level, coolant temperature and oil pressure, the tachometer with integrated clock, and the field of warning lights. The displays are backlit and adjustable via the instrument dimmer.
Installation location: In the dashboard directly in front of the driver, inserted into the instrument carrier from the front. Connected via the speedometer cable at the transmission output and the connector strips on the back.
