Vehicle system and function
The control unit performs two tasks: cruise control and idle speed regulation. To do this, it controls the electronic throttle actuator directly on the throttle body – these engines have no separate cruise control actuator or idle actuator.
Installation location: In the passenger footwell.
Condition: Used genuine part, housing matte and clean, connector pins straight. The label is fully legible (date 22.10.92), with an adhesive stain. With mounting bracket, without mating connector.

Only for vehicles without ASR – vehicles with ASR have an E-Gas control unit fitted.

Important distinction – please check before buying
⚠ Without ASR
Vehicles with ASR have an E-Gas control unit instead of the T/LLR module (e.g. 124 545 62 32); the two are not interchangeable.
⚠ Compare the number
Within the W124 there are several T/LLR numbers (124 545 52 32, 55 32, 56 32). Please compare the number on your old part.
⚠ Does not fit:
  • 400 E / 500 E (M119) – separate T/LLR and E-Gas numbers
  • Models with M103 and separate cruise control amplifier
  • Vehicles with ASR

My cruise control doesn't work – is it the control unit?
Not necessarily. First check the brake light switch and throttle actuator, whose faults show up similarly.
