Vehicle system and function
Operating and control unit of the dual-zone automatic climate control: driver and front passenger set temperature and air distribution separately, the values appear in the two LCD windows. The integrated electronics control the blower, heater valves, recirculation and air flaps via the switchover valve block and have a fault memory.
Installation location: In the center of the dashboard, bolted to the heating and A/C housing.
Condition: Used genuine part with red Bosch label. The housing edge on the underside is broken at one corner, where the circuit board is visible. Housing dusty and scratched, marking “140” on button and housing, LCD windows visually unremarkable.
How to recognize a defective part
- ● Backlight of the dial and LCD fails
- ● Unit freezes or cannot be switched off, buttons have no function
- ● Air only comes from the side vents and defrost vents
- ● Complete failure of the operating unit
