Function and location
The glove box lid is the flap of the glove compartment in the dashboard. It is hinged at the bottom, opens forward, and is unlocked via the grip recess, which moves the latch by spring and push rod. This version has no lock cylinder and is therefore not lockable.
The lid is installed on the passenger side of the dashboard, as the front flap of the glove compartment insert.
