Function and location
The glove box lid forms the lockable flap of the glove compartment in the dashboard. Hinged at the bottom, it opens forward and is unlocked via the grip recess; this moves the latch by spring and push rod. The built-in lock cylinder locks this mechanism.
The lid is fitted on the passenger side of the dashboard, as the front flap of the glove compartment insert.
