Vehicle system and function
The rotary latch in the lock engages around the striker at the rear panel and keeps the trunk lid closed. The built-in lock cylinder also serves as the push button for opening; the key locks and unlocks mechanically, the vacuum element locks the lid with the pneumatic central locking.
Installation location: Inside the trunk lid, centered at the level of the handle strip; the cylinder with rubber collar protrudes outward. Fastened with two screws, with a gasket in between.
Condition: Used genuine lock with microswitch (3-pin connector) and 1 key. Housing without breakage, fine scratches on the cover, galvanized finish of the metal parts rubbed off in places, key with signs of use.

From the facelift (W202 approx. 1997, W210 1999), a different design with angled vacuum element A 208 800 03 75 and switch A 208 820 10 10 is installed.
⚠ Not with trunk lid remote release
W210 with remote release already have the later design before the facelift.
⚠ Not T-Model wagon
S202 and S210 have a tailgate with its own lock.
⚠ Lock coding
The key fits this cylinder, not the door and ignition locks of your vehicle.
⚠ Does not fit:
- W202 and W210 from the facelift
- T-Model wagons S202 and S210
- SLK R170 (different design)
- CLK C208 / A208 as a complete lock
