Condition of this part
Used removed part, untested. The housing is matte all round, clearly scratched, and shows handling marks as well as slight surface oxidation; there are no dents or cracks, and the housing seam is intact. The brown base plate shows a dark brown discoloration between terminals 31 and 86 – whether this is a heat mark or a dirt mark cannot be conclusively determined externally; there are no burn holes and the labelling is fully legible. All seven pins are present, straight, and not broken off, darkly tarnished, with a dark spot on the end face at terminal 15. No verdigris, no rust.
Function and location
Control relay and pulse generator for the intermittent wiper circuit and automatic wash-wipe function. It generates the pause intervals in intermittent mode and controls the follow-up wipe after the washer is operated.
Installed in the relay or fuse box in the engine bay or behind the dashboard, plugged onto a 7-pin relay base.

- The wiper runs continuously in intermittent mode, or not at all
- The pause intervals of the intermittent circuit fail to occur, or become irregular
- After operating the automatic wash-wipe function, the follow-up wipe does not start
