Condition of this part
New part (NOS – New Old Stock), unused in the original Renault box. Type plate complete, cross-head screws bright with no tool marks, plastic clean, ball sockets of the coupling rod unmarked. The box itself shows storage and edge wear.
Function and location
The sensor converts the position of the accelerator pedal into an electrical voltage signal for the engine control unit – these vehicles no longer have a throttle cable (drive-by-wire). Inside, two redundant potentiometer tracks operate on a rotating axis, which is driven by the pedal via the short coupling lever; the dual design serves plausibility checking and limp-home mode. Version with 6 plug contacts and 3 mounting holes.
The sensor sits in the driver's footwell on the pedal bracket under the dashboard (bulkhead side), bolted above or next to the accelerator pedal lever. The short plastic coupling rod connects the pedal lever to the sensor's rotating axis.
