Condition of this part
New part from stock in the original Timken box, manufactured at the Timken plant in Colmar. Unused, in factory protective film with preservative grease. Alongside the type number, the box carries the codes 92KA1 and 0694 33; 92KA1 marks Timken's factory-matched set of cone and cup in one package.
Function and location
The tapered roller bearing absorbs high radial loads and axial loads on one side simultaneously, because the rollers and the inner and outer raceways are angled relative to each other. It is therefore always installed in opposing pairs and, during installation, set to a defined clearance or preload via a nut or shim washers. Inner ring with roller cage and outer ring are separable.
It is used in wheel hubs, gearbox and countershafts, differential housings and steering knuckles. With a 20 mm bore, it is a small bearing, typical for light wheel hubs, secondary shafts and trailer axles.
