Vehicle system and function
Changeover relay: at rest, terminal 30 is connected to 87a; when the coil receives current via 85 and 86, the contact switches over to 87. In the Audi 80 it switches the electric radiator fan.
Installation location: Slot in the relay carrier of the central electrics.
Condition: Used genuine part with normal signs of use on the housing (brown housing, marking WLO, 20 201 010, 12 V 20/30 A, date 5/92). Five blade terminals with patina.

Relay 205 has terminals 30, 85, 86, 87 and 87a. The four-pole relay 204 (431 951 253 H) is not a replacement.
⚠ Successor
Replaced from late 1991 by 701 927 841 (relay 97), later 191 927 841 (relay 79).
⚠ Does not fit:
  • 431 951 253 H – relay 204, four-pole
  • 431 951 253 F – relay 206
  • 443 951 253 K / S – relay 214 / 217, fan relay
