Vehicle system and function
The relay switches the electric fuel pump (40 A); it is triggered by the engine control unit (terminal Mot). According to the housing labeling, further control inputs on the eight-pin socket are C and TK.
Installation location: Golf IV / Bora: relay plate above the fuse box, driver's side under the dashboard, slot 4 – on diesels the glow plug relay sits there instead.
Condition: Used genuine part with normal signs of use on the housing (marking 89 8003 000, 12 V 40 A, Made in Germany, date 19.07.00). Eight blade terminals, the wide contacts 30 and 87 are tarnished. There are 25 pcs with the same relay and part number available; one example is pictured – supplier and date markings may differ. Price is per piece.
