Vehicle system and function
The control unit switches the four glow plugs (outputs G1–G4) of the unit-injector TDI during pre-glow and post-glow, triggered by the engine control unit. It monitors the glow circuits and reports faults via the indicator light and the fault memory.
Installation location: Relay carrier of the central electrics – slot depends on the vehicle, please compare on your old part.
Condition: Used genuine part with normal signs of use on the housing (BERU, marking 3.15.14.48, VW4G2_15). The label is heavily scratched: part number 03G 907 282 and relay number 461 are legible, an index after the part number cannot be made out, the BERU number only partly. Nine blade terminals.
How to recognize a defective part

- ● poor or no cold start, smoke at start-up
- ● Fault entry of the glow system in the engine control unit
