Refurbished genuine Bosch warm-up regulator. Bosch warm-up regulator, part number 0438140064, for Peugeot 505 2.0 Injection (SR/STI/GTI 2.0, engine ZEJ-K) and Citroën CX 2000i / CX 20 RE Injection with naturally aspirated K-Jetronic engine. How can you tell a warm-up regulator is defective?
The warm-up regulator is part of the Bosch K-Jetronic injection system and works as a control-pressure regulator: when the engine is cold, it lowers the control pressure and thereby enriches the mixture in the warm-up phase. An electric heater adapts the regulation to the warming of the engine.
If the regulator is defective, the mixture is no longer properly enriched in the cold-start and warm-up phases. This can show up as rough engine running or cold-start problems.

This warm-up regulator is suitable exclusively for naturally aspirated K-Jet engines without a turbocharger. The Peugeot 505 Turbo / Turbo Injection and the Peugeot 505 GTI 2.2 with ZDJ-K engine require other warm-up regulator variants, such as the 0438140104 for the 2.2-liter engine. On the later L-Jetronic version of the 505 GTI, the warm-up regulator is eliminated entirely. Therefore, before buying, compare the Bosch number on your old part 1:1 with the part number 0438140064 stated above.
Does not fit:
- Peugeot 505 Turbo / Turbo Injection and Peugeot 505 GTI 2.2 (ZDJ-K engine) — require other warm-up regulator variants (e.g. 0438140104 for the 2.2 l)
