Vehicle system and function
The relay belongs to the automatic transmission: it enables the starter motor only in selector lever positions P and N (starter interlock) and switches the reverse lights in position R. The signal comes from the multifunction switch on the transmission; two relays with diodes operate inside the housing.
Installation location: Slot in the relay carrier of the central electrics. On the Audi 100 C4, the starter interlock and reverse light relay sits in position 4; vehicles with a manual transmission have a jumper there.
Condition: Used genuine part with normal signs of use on the housing (Stribel 89 81 56, date marking 25.03.95). All blade terminals present.
