Vehicle system and function
The trailer connection unit detects a coupled trailer and switches its lighting via the 13-pin socket. It reports lamp failures on the trailer to the instrument cluster via the CAN bus; the rear Parktronic is switched off in trailer mode.
Installation location: In the luggage compartment behind the side trim, on the B-Class W245 at the rear right; mounted with a mounting tab and screws.
Condition: Used genuine part, type plate easily legible (HW 3904, SW 5003). Connector chambers complete, housing with scratches and light stains on top.
How to recognize a defective part
