Vehicle system and function
The crankshaft converts the reciprocating motion of the four pistons into rotary motion and drives the timing chain at the front via the sprocket. The flywheel smooths out rotation, carries the starter ring gear and is the friction surface for the clutch.
Installation location: In the crankcase of the M102 engine, five main bearings. The flywheel sits on the rear flange between the engine and the manual transmission.
Condition: Used, removed. Main and crank journals bare metal, slight surface rust and corrosion spots on individual journals (see photos). Webs raw with white and blue factory markings, forging mark G19, marker number 7. Flywheel with complete starter ring gear, friction surface with wear marks, outer circumference with surface rust — resurfacing recommended. Bearing journals not measured, no crack or runout testing — please have it checked by an engine rebuilder before installation. The parts are used and can be viewed on site in 84079 Bruckberg by appointment. Pickup only in 84079 Bruckberg (Landshut district).

Fits the following Mercedes-Benz models with M102 engine
M102 with 2.0 and 2.3 liters have the same stroke of 80.25 mm. The casting number is documented for the 190 E 2.0 and 190 E 2.3. For 230 E, 200 E and 230 GE of other model series, please compare the casting number or send us the engine number. The included flywheel is for manual transmission.

Important distinction – please check before buying
⚠ Not for 190 E 1.8, 2.3-16 and 2.5-16
The 1.8 has its own shaft, the 2.5-16 a different stroke; this shaft is not documented for the 2.3-16.
⚠ Flywheel for manual transmission only
Vehicles with automatic transmission have a driveplate instead of the flywheel.
