Vehicle system and function
Pressing the button locks and unlocks the central locking via an infrared signal from the red transmitter window on the front end. The fold-out key blade serves as ignition key and emergency key. The system uses a rolling code and is bound to the vehicle's infrared control unit.
Installation location: Handheld transmitter of the infrared locking system; the receivers are located on the vehicle.
Condition: Used, function of the infrared transmitter tested. The key blade is missing, the blade slot is empty. Housing with normal signs of use, embossing 210 760 13 06 in the housing.

Important distinction – please check before buying
⚠ Programming the transmitter
The infrared transmitter is coded to the control unit of its donor vehicle. For a different vehicle it must be programmed by a specialist with suitable equipment. The normal synchronization on the vehicle only works with keys that the control unit already knows.
⚠ Without key blade
The blade is missing. It is newly made according to your vehicle's lock code, or you can transfer the blade from your old key. Profile of the W202/W210 blades: HU64, two-track.
⚠ Transponder
W210 from around mid-1996 and later W202 have a transponder in the key housing. On these vehicles the transponder must be transferred from your old key.
⚠ Does not fit:
- Radio keys from model year 1998 (W168, W163, R170) – not infrared
- Chrome keys with electronic ignition lock from W203 and W211
- W124, W140 and R129 – there the housing 140 760 .. 06 with four-track blade

FAQ
Which battery is used?
CR2025 coin cells – one or two stacked, depending on the version. A CR2032 is thicker and can damage the housing.
What is the key suitable for?
As a replacement for the damaged housing of your own key, as a donor for the transmitter and internal parts, or – after programming by a specialist – as an additional key.
