Vehicle system and function
The engine support bracket is the bracket between the engine block and the front rubber engine mount. It carries the engine weight on the right side and transfers it via the rubber mount into the front subframe.
Installation location: Bolted to the right side of the engine block with the 4-hole flange; the threaded hole at the tip takes the bolt of the front engine mount.
Condition: Used genuine part, blasted and painted silver-gray. No cracks, breaks or corrosion, only small grinding and casting marks at the tip. Without rubber mount and bolts.

⚠ Early version
The number A 601 223 01 04 applies to the first series of the 190 D 2.0. Later vehicles have the engine support bracket A 601 223 30 04 on the right. Please compare the casting number on your old part.
⚠ Side
This is the right engine support bracket. The left bracket with fork arm for the engine damper has the number A 601 223 09 04.
⚠ Does not fit:
- 190 D 2.5 and 190 D 2.5 Turbo (OM602)
- Six-cylinder diesel OM603 – separate engine support brackets
- Later 190 D and W124 diesel with engine support bracket A 601 223 30 04 (right)
