Vehicle system and function
The crankshaft converts the reciprocating motion of the four pistons into rotary motion and drives the timing chain via the duplex sprocket. The front hub carries the degree scale for setting the start of injection, the flywheel carries the starter ring gear and the friction surface of the clutch.
Installation location: In the crankcase of the OM615 / OM616 diesel, five main bearings. The flywheel sits on the rear flange between the engine and the manual transmission.
Condition: Sold expressly as a regrind core: the crank journal of cylinder 1 has clear scoring, deposits and corrosion (see photos). Before installation, grinding as well as crack and hardness testing by a specialist shop are necessary; whether an undersize is sufficient has not been checked. Remaining journals with wear marks and surface rust, not measured. Stroke measured by us: approx. 92 mm. Flywheel with signs of use, resurfacing recommended. The damage described constitutes the agreed condition. The parts are used and can be viewed on site in 84079 Bruckberg by appointment. Pickup only in 84079 Bruckberg (Landshut district).

Fits the following Mercedes-Benz diesels with 92 mm stroke
Measured stroke approx. 92 mm = OM615 with 2.2 l (220 D) or OM616 with 2.4 l (240 D). Not for the 200 D with 83.6 mm stroke. The flywheel is for manual transmission. For G 240 GD and vans, please inquire first.

The 200 D has an 83.6 mm stroke and its own crankshaft.
⚠ Not for five-cylinder
240 D 3.0 and 300 D (OM617) have their own crankshaft.
⚠ Does not fit:
- 200 D (OM615 with 2.0 l)
- 240 D 3.0 and 300 D (OM617)
- M115 gasoline engine
