Vehicle system and function
The control unit evaluates the pedal position sensor and sets the throttle valve via an electric actuator – without throttle cable. It also handles cruise control, idle speed regulation and the engine intervention of the ASR traction control.
Installation location: Connected via the single-row large connector and secured with the mounting bracket; the installation position corresponds to that of your old part.
Condition: Used genuine part. The label is soiled and worn at the edge, but legible (date 22.09.1989). The sheet-metal cover has scratches and small paint chips on the edges; cooling fins clean, connector pins straight, no corrosion. With mounting bracket, without mating connector.
How to recognize a defective part
- ● ASR warning light is on, stored fault “control unit defective”
- ● Limp-home mode with engine speed limited to approx. 1,500 rpm
