Vehicle system and function
The comfort control unit switches the power window regulators and the sliding/lifting sunroof, monitoring switches and door contacts in the process. If the key is held in the lock position at the driver's door or trunk lid, windows and sunroof close automatically (comfort closing).
Installation location: Under the rear seat bench on the left (driver's side) under the carpet; for removal only the seat cushion has to come out.
Condition: Used genuine part, numbers stamped into the housing. Housing with a film of dirt and small light spots, light residue on the connector flaps, pins without corrosion.
How to recognize a defective part
- ● Battery drains overnight because the comfort relay stays energized
- ● Windows can only be operated with the door open
- ● Automatic opening or closing stops too early
- ● Comfort closing via the door lock does not work
