Vehicle system and function
The slider selects blower settings 0 to 4. The switch is mechanically coupled to the main air flap via the Bowden cable: from I to 0 the air flap closes.
Installation location: In the center console behind the trim of the heater control panel; the Bowden cable runs to the blower housing under the cover in the engine bay.
Condition: Used slide switch, stamping MERCEDES-BENZ 201 820 08 10, with Bowden cable, metal deflection lever and 4-pin connector. Housing with slight signs of use. Price is per piece. The photos show a representative example.
How to recognize a defective part
- ● Slider sticks or moves stiffly between I and 0
- ● Detent lug broken, the slider does not latch
- ● Blower does not run despite a selected setting (loose contact)
- ● Switch only goes up to setting 2
