Vehicle system and function
The control panel operates the automatic climate control: in AUTO mode it adjusts temperature, blower and air distribution automatically to the set value. There are also buttons for windshield, rear window, recirculation, EC and REST; the LCD display shows the values.
Installation location: In the center console below the radio. It is removed with radio extraction keys via the slots in the lower corners of the trim.
Condition: Used genuine part, number stamped into the housing. Housing clean with light dust, reddish paint mark on the edge of the left red arrow button.
How to recognize a defective part

Mercedes supersedes A 202 830 11 85, 12 85 and 13 85 with A 202 830 14 85. A newer revision fits older vehicles; an older revision in a vehicle with a newer revision may show button faults.
⚠ Not without automatic climate control
W202 without automatic climate control have a heater or A/C control panel with rotary knobs.
⚠ Not CLK and SLK
The CLK W208 has A 140 830 24 85, the SLK R170 A 170 830 03 85.
⚠ R129 single-zone version only
Single-zone and dual-zone control panels of the SL are not interchangeable; in the R129 it must be coded to model series 129.
⚠ Does not fit:
  • W202 without automatic climate control (rotary knobs)
  • Early W202 with rotary-dial control panel A 202 830 07 85
  • R129 up to model year 1996 (A 129 830 05 85) and R129 with dual-zone automatic

Yes. After installation, variant coding is required (model series 202 or 129, interface K1 or K2); then clear the fault memory.

Please compare the number on the old control panel (stamped into the top of the housing) or send us the VIN (chassis number) via eBay.
