Vehicle system and function
40 A relay for the electric fuel pump, triggered by the engine control unit (terminal Mot). According to the housing labeling, it additionally has an input for terminal 50 (starter) as well as the control inputs C and TK.
Installation location: Polo 6N: relay carrier in the interior behind the cover of the storage compartment on the driver's side, slot 12.
Condition: Used genuine part with normal signs of use on the housing (marking 89 8956 000, 12 V 40 A, Made in Germany). Eight blade terminals, the wide load contact has tarnished to a brass color. There are 8 pcs with the same relay and part number available; one example is pictured – supplier and date markings may differ. Price is per piece.
