Vehicle system and function
The control unit switches the four glow plugs (outputs G1–G4) during pre-glow, start glow and post-glow. The glow duration is specified by the engine control unit depending on coolant temperature; the unit monitors the glow circuits and reports faults to the fault memory.
Installation location: Slot in the relay carrier (relay box) of the central electrics.
Condition: Used genuine part with normal signs of use on the housing (BERU 0 522 120 503, 5.15.40.02, Made in Germany). Nine blade terminals, marking slightly faded but legible. There are 3 pcs with the same relay and part number available; one example is pictured – supplier and date markings may differ. Price is per piece.
How to recognize a defective part
